Are Barbara Personnel services costly?
In recent years, we have had no fixed rates or price list. This method of operation
allows us to work directly within the client's budget and enables us to provide
better people at the best possible quality-price ratio. So to answer your question,
is it costly, taking into consideration that we recruit, select, evaluate and
pay the employee, the answer is no! The client has only to pay for the hours
worked.
To what extent is a client responsible for a temporary employee hired through
Barbara Personnel?
Any individual given a temporary assignment is under our full responsibility.
We are his sole employer. In other words, we are the ones who pay out the employee's
weekly salary, the 4% vacation benefits and the statutory holidays. We take
care of payroll deductions such as employment insurance, Canada Pension Plan,
WSIB and the health tax. We will even process garnishees, dismissals and records
of employment. The client's only responsibility is signing the time sheet by
which he agrees to be billed for the indicated number of hours worked.
Can a firm call upon Barbara Personnel to find a permanent employee?
Yes. We recruit, evaluate and short-list candidates. Once your choice is made,
you have two options:
Option 1 : Let's say a printing firm is looking for a graphic designer.
Once the selection has been completed and the wages set, the client pays Barbara
Personnel a percentage of the annual salary as a finder's fee, with a two-month
guarantee.
Option 2 : The client uses Barbara Personnel's temporary services
for a period of 20 consecutive weeks to better evaluate the abilities of the
chosen candidate. After this period, the client may hire the person directly
without further cost.
Does Barbara Personnel only provide office personnel - secretaries, receptionists
and office clerks?
While it is true that our reputation has been built on office personnel, this
concept is outdated. There is no limit to the spectrum of talent available at
Barbara Personnel. We have more than 4,000 registered candidates from a wide
variety of professions including truck drivers, graphic designers, translators,
labourers, pharmacists, computer technicians and network administrators. As
you can see, there are practically no limits to the services we can offer.
Does Barbara Personnel still recruit new employees?
Always. To provide top-quality employees, we need an abundance of reserves.
We have four testing stations to evaluate candidates. For office work, candidates
are required to take aptitude tests, typing speed and precision, language skills
(English and French, written and spoken) and word processing software skills.
These methods enable us to achieve our primary objective, which is the total
satisfaction of our clients.
How does one get hired by Barbara Personnel?
To be hired by Barbara Personnel, the very first thing to do is submit your
resume. The number of job opportunities we receive every day is incredible.
You can send us your resume by fax, by e-mail on our Internet site, by regular
mail, or bring it in person. Your resume will be evaluated by one of our counsellors
and if you have the required abilities, we will contact you to set up a meeting.
All other resumes are kept in our data bank for future reference.
What are your employment standards?
To maintain our spotless reputation, candidates are assessed by a team of human
resource professionals. Only those who pass the evaluation are hired. To allow
us to evaluate the performance of every employee during assignments, clients
are strongly encouraged to fill out an evaluation form. This allows us to solve
any problem before it gets out of control. We are therefore in a position to
ensure that we apply standardized methods for recruitment, pre-hiring inquiries
and aptitude tests.
