Barbara Personnel takes full responsibility for temporary employees. We pay their wages, and the 4% vacation pay and statutory holidays. We take care of all payroll deductions such as employment insurance, Canada Pension Plan, occupational health and safety and health tax. We will even process garnishees, take care of dismissals and complete the records of employment. The client's involvement is limited to signing the employee's time sheet as an acceptance of hours worked. This placement service is provided at very competitive rates and can be adjusted to suit your budget.
In addition, a temporary employee assigned by Barbara Personnel is considered to be an employee of Barbara Personnel for a period of twelve (12) months from date of employment in each firm. The client is obligated to contact Barbara Personnel for any additional service from the same employee within this original 12-month period.
Permanent employees Clients who call on Barbara Personnel to find a permanent employee are required to make a one-time payment, due within the first 30 days, representing a small percentage of the permanent employee's wages as a finder's fee. Each placement is backed by our "no cost" replacement guarantee should an employee leave within the first two months.
However, if a client wants time to assess a new employee, he may hire the person as a temporary employee for a 20-week period through Barbara Personnel. After this period, the client can hire the employee directly with no additional amount due to Barbara Personnel.
